THIS WEEK AT A GLANCE
click an event for more details^^ (if there are any!)
Good Morning Fernbank! I was so pleased to see the projects our 4th and 5th grade students submitted for last week’s Science Fair. I am always impressed with the range of topics our students choose to explore, from environmental topics to chemistry and physics. Way to go, Fernbank!
Parents, the unpredictable weather we have been having has led to many jackets and coats left behind and our Lost and Found area is getting crowded again. If you are at school, please take the opportunity to visit and look for those lost water bottles, rain jackets, etc. The Lost and Found area is to the left of the doors to the cafeteria.

FERNBANK FOUNDATION AUCTION NEWS
FERNBANK AUCTION WINE PULL DONATIONS NEEDED! Thank you to those who dropped off wine during morning carpool last Monday and the previous Friday. We could use more donations and have set up convenient locations close to Fernbank for an easy drop and go. Thank you for your support and participation!
What is the wine pull?
The wine pull is a simple blind draw raffle where every raffle ticket purchased wins a bottle of wine! Also, each wine pull ticket will be entered into a raffle to win an additional specialty bottle! Raffle tickets will be on sale at the auction for $25.
How do I donate wine?
A donation to the wine pull is a great way to support the Fernbank Auction! You can drop a bottle (or 2!) of wine off at one of two homes conveniently located near school anytime starting February 10th! There will be a container on the front porch to set your wine in. We ask that wine donations be a bottle valued at $20 or higher. Thank you for your support! Drop off locations are: 1711 Ridgewood Drive 30307 or 927 Artwood Road 30307.
FAMILY DONATIONS: Do you have items to donate? Tickets to a game or event? Special talents to share (artists, teacher/trainer, designer)? A vacation home or timeshare? Maybe a gift card to a local business? To donate or ask questions, contact Cindy at .

Fernbank will have two Pre-K classes with 22 students per class.
PAC MEETING TODAY AT 3 P.M.
The next Principal Advisory Council (PAC) meeting will be today at 3 p.m. in the front office.
KID'S HEART CHALLENGE
The American Heart Association's Kid's Heart Challenge, formally know as Jump Rope for Heart, begins February 13th and ends February 28th. Our goal is for every student to raise $5.00. This will earn them a key chain given out during PE class and will add up to thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association. We hope all students get a key chain! Last year Fernbank was the number one fundraiser in DeKalb County! Students will be learning about heart health and jumping rope in PE class for the next two weeks. We are very excited to promote physical activity and heart health. Thank you for your participation in this wonderful cause.
CALLING ALL BOX TOPS!
Calling all Box Tops! This is the final week to turn in your box tops for credit this school year. Please send any unexpired, clipped box tops in a baggie with your child to drop off in the front hallway collection box. Thank you!
Please be mindful that animals should not be on campus. If an animal is here and leaves us a "gift", you must clean up after your pet! No one wants to start their school day by cleaning off soiled shoes!
INFO ABOUT TEST SCORES
Many of you have asked about receiving your child's scores from MAP or CoGAT testing. DCSD has not yet released them to us. As soon as the scores are finalized and released by the District, we will give them to your teachers to send them home to you. We do not expect to receive them for another month.
