Extracurriculars at Fernbank
FERNBANK AFTERCARE PROGRAM
Fernbank Elementary offers an aftercare program (the ASEDP) that runs from 3:00PM until 6:00PM. Due to high demand, participation in the 2026-2027 Aftercare Program will be determined through a lottery process. There will be no daily/drop-in rates offered. Online pre-registration will be required to enter the lottery. Fernbank parents can fill out the pre-registration form for aftercare now through Friday, July 17th. Please note that submitting the pre-registration form enters your family into the lottery process but does not guarantee placement. Read more about Fernbank's Aftercare Program here.
FERNBANK AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS
Fernbank offers a number of after school clubs. Clubs are run and managed by individual vendors who meet Dekalb's requirements and qualifications. Fall 2026 after school clubs registration will take place on Saturday, August 22nd at 9am. Spring 2027 after school clubs registration will take place in January 2027 (date TBD). DCSD ATHLETICS (4TH AND 5TH GRADE)
DeKalb County is now offering elementary athletic programs for fourth and fifth grade students. Programs offered include: Track and Field, Soccer, Basketball, Competitive Dance, Cross County, Flag Football and Soccer. Stay tuned for more information via DCSD emails and The FLASH newsletter.
