Formed in 2009, the Fernbank Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. It contributes to the long-term development and success of Fernbank Elementary School by raising and managing funds for supplemental educational enhancements. The Foundation’s support augments county resources, filling in the gaps to give Fernbank students the special tools they need for further success.

Our board works with Fernbank's administration to pinpoint and address the gaps in funding from the county or determine areas where teachers could use extra training or materials. 

Our board oversees the fundraising efforts for the Foundation. We and the PTA have a fundraising drive (Fund the Fern) each fall, we host the annual "Film at the Fern" and hold our Annual Auction every winter. We have a steep budget each year, but our students see the benefits of your support every day.

Fernbank’s Foundation is run by an executive board of parent volunteers that includes:

  • Treasurer

  • Secretary

  • Auction Chair

  • Academic Liaison

  • School Choice Representative
